Sharpshooter

A Sharpshooter, or large leafhopper of the Cicadellidae family, forages for liquid on a leaf at Mt. Lemmon. The common name derives from their forceably squirting unused water and carbohydrates away from their bodies after extracting the trace nutrients. Image copyrighted.
