“Colonoscopy” for the Water Pipes

A Tucson Water employee gets ready to use modern technology to find a blockage in a buried pipe with a CCD video camera on an extended cable.

The $10,000 price tag for the equipment saved the city over $60,000 on this job alone, by not having to unnecessarily bring in more equipment to dig up and replace 125 feet of pipe and road.
