Apparently this group of bird watchers at Agua Caliente Park in Tucson preferred scouting for Northern Flickers on a gloomy gray Sunday morning over sitting at home watching the Olympics. Their consensus: the bird gets an 8.3 for color, song pitch and flying style. I give the bird watchers a 7.5 for tightness of formation, synchronized binocular use and “costume” color coordination!
